EvAngie One day I woke up and decided to survive
I counted up all I had lost
And it was really at no cost
For me to stop the sin
And start all over again
This time living with God’s rules
Instead of man’s
Obeying all of God’s words
Not just the ones that sounded good when heard
Knowing that with this suffer
I will have God as my buffer
To protect, lead and guide
As I put every sin aside
Yes, I have decided to survive
Each day as I breathe the breath of life
I am constantly reminded of God’s sacrifice
He gave His Son and His Son gave His life
So as I go through
Down here on this earth
I will remember
Because of this
I am no longer cursed
Which gives me my greatest worth
With all of this being said
I now remember what David did
When he decided to survive
He danced
I will dance like David did
As I survive in this strange land
